When did you first discover your gift as an energy healer?
I’ve always had a special connection with animals, since I was a little girl. I shared a special bond with stray dogs in my neighborhood, with farm animals at my friend’ country house, and even with slugs I kept as pets.
I realized that I had more than just an ordinary connection with animals when I caught myself relying on my intuition in my clinical work. I often knew the diagnosis just by “tuning into” the animal and “listening with my whole body,” so to speak. I did not have to rely on traditional test and lab results to know the exact nature of my patient’s problems.
Along with intuitive diagnosis, I also tapped into another skill. As I was often emotionally invested in my four legged patients, I would focus all my awareness on streaming healing energy to them. Soon I began to notice remarkable results.
In time, I moved from practicing emergency medicine to doing intuitive and healing work with patients all over the world. Today, in my practice, I use energy healing exclusively and I am often able to heal problems traditional vets have long given up on.
What is visualization? Can I help my pet heal through visualization?
Energy healing is a way of manipulating energy associated with the body and its diseases. In my work, I use visualizations to effect healing in my patients. Visualizations are concentrated or focused intentions in the form of mental images.
So how does visualization work? Through intention, visualization directs the immune system to the physical problem and guides it to action. One of the most important requirements for healing is fine tuning your ability to visualize – to see vivid images in your mind’s eye. As a veterinarian with an extensive knowledge of animal anatomy I am able to focus on problems very precisely and visualize them in minute detail.
What are some steps I can take to connect with my pet in this way?
The most effective way to create vivid images is to fully understand the physical problem you are attempting to heal in your animal.
It is important to do your own research and learn as much as you can about the illness and the anatomy of the affected area. This will help guide your healing intentions more accurately to the source of the problem.
The bottom line is, the better you are at visualizing the better you will be at healing your animal. And the second very important factor in visualizing is knowing that it will work.
Practice the healing visualizations for your pet in bed, right before you fall asleep. Keep visualizing until you are too tired to continue and allow yourself to drift off to sleep. Visualizing is most effective when the mind is relaxed, and in our dream state we are closest to the state of consciousness conducive to healing.
I encourage you to create your own visualizations to suit your animal’s health needs. You can embellish and expand your visualizations as much as you wish, the more detailed they are and the longer you keep your focus, the better. Your visualizations are limited only by you imagination.
Do you think that animals can help to heal humans? How?
Animals are here to teach us love. Our pets, in their ability to love us unconditionally, are closer to God and far more evolved than we are. They come into our lives to love us and to teach us to love the way they do. In doing so, animals often take on the consciousness and energy of their human companions. As they mirror our thoughts and feelings, they internalize them in their bodies and manifest the physical symptoms associated with them.
I believe that all disease originates in consciousness. I also believe that animals often take on the consciousness of their human companions. On their own, they are not capable of experiencing such emotions as stress, anxiety, or worry. By internalizing our consciousness, full of negativity, fear, stress and anxiety they often take on more than they can handle and thus develop disease. Because your pets are influenced by your thoughts and feelings, they also manifest the physical symptoms associated with them. I have worked with countless clients whose pets developed diseases associated with the specific mindsets and energy patterns of their guardians. In my years of practice, I have come to clearly understand that as our best friends, pets mirror our consciousness to help us grow and evolve. Since animal disease is related to human consciousness, often their diseases can help us see and overcome our own issues. My personal one-on-one sessions are designed to help everyone involved.
Remember, our pets are a reflection of us. Oftentimes, if you change
the way you relate to your pet, you can change the entirety of
your companionship. This means resolving health problems and creating a
more fulfilling and loving relationship.
Moreover, people are often willing to do much more for their animals than they would do for themselves. So when a person is told to change their emotional or behavioral patterns for their pet’s sake, they are often very receptive and eager to follow through. They take charge of their consciousness to help heal their pet, but they are also ultimately healing themselves.
I saw this recently with a cat that had developed a sudden bladder problem. I had a distinct sense of a "transition" taking place in the cat’s and its owner’s lives. I questioned the owner to find out what was going on in the cat’s environment that might be an "irritant", literally, to the second chakra area. It turned out that her boyfriend had just moved in with them recently and she was having trouble adjusting to the situation. The cat’s body, in resonance with her owner, had manifested her ambiguity and distress. I advised the owner to resolve her internal conflict about her relationship to help the cat recover. She went home to journal and work through her feelings, and called me the next day to let me know the cat was completely fine! His physical problem forced his owner to deal with her anxiety and thus heal.
It is my belief that the origin of all disease is spiritual. Healing must take place, first and foremost, on the spiritual level. Then harmony can manifest in the body as total physical well-being.
I’ve heard you speak about meditating with pets. Tell me more about how I can begin this practice and some benefits that may be derived from this practice.
I believe that meditation is the single most important thing you can
do to live a healthier, happier life and meditating with your pet is
the most loving thing you can do for your pet.
When we take a
deep breath and slow down, we are not only doing ourselves a favor, but our pets
benefit as well. Our personal world is a nicer, calmer place to be in and everyone
we encounter benefits.
Meditation is a technique of calming the mind to access energy and insight, utilized by traditions from Zen to Judaism. Meditation has been proven to relieve pain and stress, and to boost our immune system. It also yields quick results. In just minutes, meditators have shown increased alpha activity, the relaxed brain waves, plus less anxiety and depression. For humans with overactive minds, meditation works to quiet the ceaseless inner mind chatter. And for animals who are surrounded by humans with overactive minds, meditation is a God send.
Medical researchers have studied the positive mind-body connection that meditation has on patients. Numerous studies have shown that meditation brings about a healthy state of relaxation by causing a generalized reduction in multiple physiological and biochemical markers, such as decreased heart rate, decreased respiratory rate, decreased plasma levels of cortisol and lactate, which are the two hormones associated with stress, and an increase of the alpha brain wave pattern associated with relaxation.
Our stress levels directly affect the health of our pets?
It is a well-documented fact in human medicine that worry and stress disarm the body’s natural healing responses, while joy and happiness promote healing. This is true in humans and animals of all species, it is a universal fact. Of course, animals in the wild do not experience much worry, but our pets do. Our domesticated animals are so enmeshed in our hectic, busy lives, that they cannot help but absorb all the stress and worry we experience. They are like little sponges: they absorb our emotions, both positive and negative. And sometimes, since they do not have a way of dealing with these emotions, they develop disease.
Animals in their natural state don’t suffer from hypertension and diabetes or any other physical problems that we deal with. Yet, many animals that I have treated mirror the physical ailments of their owners. Our pets love us so much that they are willing to take on our anxieties and physical diseases as well.
What happens when our pets experience our stress?
When our minds are filled with fear, worry and anxiety, our bodies as well as those of our pets respond by secreting stress chemicals and hormones. Much media attention has been focused on cortisol lately. Cortisol is a glucocorticoid secreted by the adrenal glands in response to stress. When cortisol is released in response to a real or imagined threat, its function is to prevent inflammation at the site of potential injury. Chronically elevated levels of cortisol, however, are potentially very harmful to the body. They can lead to delayed healing, immune system suppression, and increased susceptibility to infection.
Of course, it is common knowledge that the body heals itself most effectively in a state of deep relaxation. So how can we use this knowledge to optimize wellbeing and healing in our animals? It has been proven that through meditation we achieve the states of deep relaxation. Here is the exciting part: We can induct our animals into the same states telepathically. We can thus share with our animals the many benefits of meditation: reducing stress, cultivating a sense of peace, promoting healing, and delaying aging. Research shows that meditating is good not only for helping to heal illness, but can help prevent illness in the first place.
I’ve heard that meditation can have 'youthing' benefits. Do you believe this is true?
Yes, this is another benefit to meditation. Meditation can actually help slow down and, in some cases, reverse the aging process. There is exciting and pioneering research that shows that meditation impacts at least three brain chemicals that are tied to aging: DHEA, Melatonin and Cortisol.
People who meditate regularly have higher levels of DHEA and Melatonin and lower levels of Cortisol. This means that by meditating together you can extend the life of your pet!
I truly believe that all these positive changes in physiological markers and health statistics are as true for our animals when they are exposed to meditation as they are for us. That is why I advocate meditation as both a healing and health enhancing tool for our pets.
Are you really both a veterinarian and an intuitive?
Yes. I am a fully licensed veterinarian, and also an energy healer, with intuitive insight into the language of energy, spirit, and healing. As far as I know, nobody else combines these talents. There are plenty of vets out there, plenty of animal communicators, and plenty of pet intuitives, but nobody is as qualified as I am to heal the body, mind, and soul.
Can you really heal my pet over a distance?
Yes, a true intuitive and energy healer is just as effective over the phone as they are in person. They are just as good over the phone as they are in person. In fact, the best intuitives do most of their readings by phone, counseling people all over the world. Intuitive phenomena work on the level of energy, and energy can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Energy healing occurs in the quantum moment, where there is no time and no space.
How does this work (what do I need to do?)
Be clear on your intent to heal your pet. That’s about it.
You mention "your intuition" – what is that?
It’s simply a term I use to describe that I can see beyond obvious physical or emotional suffering. In other words, I can see the root causes of issues that are ailing your pet that other people cannot see. I tune into vibrations and frequencies that are beyond the five senses. Distance does not affect my gifts.
What is energy healing?
Energy Healing is based on the idea that illness or disease in physical and auric body is characterized by blockages and imbalances. Energy healing is a process where energy or vibrations are introduced or transferred into physical and energetic bodies, so that the vibrations which have become unbalanced in the physical or auric body are adjusted. This can be done both in person, or over a great distance.
Energy healing has been used for thousands of years. Two examples are the Egyptians and Chinese: Egypt is said to have used sound and color for healing, and that many of their ancient hospitals had special rooms devoted to color and sound healing. Also, the Chinese have used acupuncture, another form of energy healing, for centuries. The type of energy healing I practice relies solely on intuitive transfer and manipulation of energy. Once the body is balanced on the energetic level, the physical healing follows.
What is an intuitive?
A general term describing a person with one or more paranormal abilities such as extrasensory perception, clairvoyance or telepathy.
Parapsychology is the study of the evidence involving phenomena where a person seems to affect or gain information about something through a means not currently explainable within the framework of mainstream, conventional science.
We are all energy healers, we all have intuitive powers, some of us are just more familiar with these innate skills than others. Through practice and training, anyone can strengthen their "energy-healing muscles".
Can you tell what my pet is thinking?
Yes, but that is not the crux of what I do. There are thousands of animal communicators out there. I go beyond talking to the animal. I tune into your animal’s true essence, its spirit and see the FULL PICTURE.
What type of sessions do you offer and what are they like?
I offer private, 30 minute one-on-one sessions with you and your pet, in person or via the telephone. Each session includes several components:
First, I will use my intuition and veterinary training to identify the ailment. Through use of my intuitive and energy-healing abilities, I tune into the vibration of your pet’s soul, I also communicate with angels and spirit guides that surround your pet, and my own spirit guides. This allows me to focus in on the root causes of your pet’s problems. I do not simply communicate with only your pet – I utilize spiritual insight, the energies surrounding your pet, and my inherent intuition to provide you with the complete picture.
Since your consciousness and your pet’s health are related, I will also often communicate with your Higher Self and your spirit guides. What is going on with your pet may have something to do with you.
Once the true essence of the animal’s problem is elucidated, I will use my energy healing abilities to manipulate and shift your pet’s disease or behavioral pattern on the energetic level. Once this is done, physical healing with spontaneously follow.
"Your ability to zoom in on the problem and its cause it uncanny, it is amazing."
